Okay, I'll start a thread. What do you guys do to stay healthy?

I keep it simple, exercise and eat healthy. My plan for exercise is road biking. This is something I enjoy, so I bike as often as I can. I join a bike club that meets on Tuesday's and that adds a little flavor to my routine. I am currently working on the eating healthy part. I enjoy salmon, so I have found a good recipe that works for me. It's an orange glaze salmon. Easy to fix and taste great. I am adding more recipes to my healthy and that is when I found this web site. I am looking forward more good eating.

It's good to know that there are other men in this group!

It sounds like you have a healthy diet & lifestyle. Watch out for farmed, Atlantic salmon though. We switched to wild, alaskan salmon because the farmed, Atlantic salmon has high-levels of toxicity, including heavy metals. It is on the warning list for toxic fish by the Environmental Defense Fund. I have provided the link to the article about wild vs. farmed salmon here "Wild Salmon vs Farmed Salmon - Which is good for you and which one should you avoid?"

Very good advice. I have heard of the issues with farmed fish so I buy Copper River Salmon when available. It's a little more expensive, but well worth it. I have not gone to the site but will gladly look at it and pass it on.

I am looking forward to my first Team Triathlon in mid July, where I will be doing the biking. By next year, I will be doing my first tri as an individual. It's a great stress release and a challenge at the same time.

I try to limit the amount of meat I eat, somedays total veg! I am now just getting back to exercise, I walk with Oscar the dog each morning for about 20 to 30 minutes everyday. Learning to slow down and meditate, even for 5 minutes.

Hey Mr. Mister, that's a good way to get some guys to make a comment. Hope you get more too. As for me I'm 52 and very active in daily cardio/weight bearing excercises. But my passion is climbing! Rock - Mountains I don't care. So far this year I have climbed three mountains and have done some rock climbing.....it's good for the mind, body and soul.

Any other guys like to share your adventures???

I am glad to see we have a men's forum going now. It is good to hear that there are other guys out there and what you are doing to stay healthy.

I stay healthy by eating a whole food diet and staying away from the processed, junk foods. I try to eat organic when possible and make it a rule to stay away from "white" foods, like bread, pasta, ice cream and sugar. I eat whole grains, salads, clean sources of fish, chicken and organic dairy. Once in awhile, I'll cook up a grass-fed, hormone free steak on the grill. I usually include a glass of red wine at night, which I hear is healthy too.

For Supplements, I take the Men's Vitamin Code Raw Multivitamins, the WholeMega Omega 3 supplement from wild alaskan salmon, and the Perfect Food Raw Super Green Food powder in a smoothie.

I workout twice a week with weights, yoga or stretching twice a week and three cardio workouts week of walking or hiking.

So what else is happening out there with the rest of our men's forum?
